I told my partner I was taking her away for a weekend away from the kids so we could sleep in and go out for a nice tea. However I neglected to tell her that my main reason for the weekend away was so we could go to the Dawn2Dusk event in Rotorua. So once we booked into the Hotel I pulled a few bike parts and the tool box out of the van and got to work on building a new bike up for myself. I ended up with a single speed Transition Double built from the bits and pieces I had laying around in the workshop. It’s a fun fast little bike and punches well about its 4” of travel. However it may have cost me another weekend away, this time with no bikes.
